Stack It On, Stack It On...

Here it is- one more thing to add to my list. This is what happened on tuesday in Grand Forks. Nobody was hurt- just mad. Someone (young boy on cell phone) slid (hauled a**) through an intersection and hit a car which continued to fly into another car and then finally stopped when he hit my car. Bummer. Wrong place, wrong time. Christmas shopping came to an abrupt hault after standing outside at 15 below zero for a good while I decided I'd had enough and went home. Stupid ice, stupid boy on cell phone. Good thing Grama Jody was at home with Logan.

Surgery, blood clots, and Mom's TLC

As you can see, the left leg is a little larger than the right one. I believe I took this before I ever went to the Doctor. And that was after the swelling had gone way down, I had probably had it up for at least a couple of hours before I took the picture. Looks as if I could use some lotion on those legs! Then there is Mom "grooming" Paul - he finally got his little gauze thing off after surgery. There was this sticky glue stuff all over him and he was dirty. Poor guy couldn't shower for weeks until that thing was off. Guess he wasn't very good at sponge baths! Good thing Mom came to take care of us sicklings. And yes, she used Goo Gone to get the sticky stuff off Paul- LOL! Paul just stopped by the office to chat- he just finished his first therapy session and said it was very painful. He's been keeping busy too- has to drive tractor tonight starting at 1am. He seems anxious to get back to Minot and get back to work- I'm guessing he's more excited about moving into his apartment at the end of the month. I'll have to go to Minot and scope the place out.

SoOoO CuTe!

Here are the make n' takes we participated in! Some of them required standing in line forEVER, but it was fun and worth it. I loved the Christmas card, and am really into stamping now. Some of the companies gave out other great stuff while standing in line, which I thought was pretty impressive- Who doesn't love free stuff!?

Scrapfest!

Feast your eyes! This is quite possibly the only pregnancy picture you will ever see of me. Here I am in line to register at Scrapfest in the Mall of America. And we were EARLY! I had such a good time- definitely something I would do again! Sorry the pictures a little dark, but the one of Mom and I together isn't the best either- she's got goofy eyes in it.

Im alive!

Hello everyone! Just a little update- it has been way too long since my last post! Mom and I had a wonderful time in the cities- I learned a lot of different techniques and splurged on scrapbooking materials- but will soon be putting them to good use! I have less than 2 months to go and this baby will arrive, and since I know more than the Doctors, I will be having it earlier than planned. (We'll see) Justin finished potatoes last Friday- thank goodness since it rained all day Sunday and Monday. Now we have beans, corn, and sunflowers left. I'm sure you've all heard about my stupid leg- not too much has changed lately and it seems to be doing OK. I think it improved a lot at first and now is just maintaining. The shots aren't that bad either and I get to switch to pills after the baby is born, so that will be nice. Two of my girlfriends are throwing me a small shower on the 18Th, so Woo HOO! It will be nice to see the girls and stock up on some baby supplies. We do have a crib now- Justin had it all set up when I got home from the cities. Grama Jody and Justin's Aunt Julie and Grama Joan bought us the crib- very appreciated! Well, just wanted to give you a short update- I'll post some new pictures later! Hope all is well!

Little works of Art!

Just a little eye candy! I salvaged the white wicker basket from one of the farm buildings- it used to be ugly orange- now its my favorite planter. And the dead birch tree got a face lift too- we were going to chop the whole thing down, but Justin thought the plants growing up it looked too cool to get rid of it. The picture doesn't really give it justice, the bright orange black eyed susans are sooo pretty and they just took off! Thats only 4 little plants, and you can't really see the pretty impatients in the hanging basket either- but I just wanted to show off my little works of art. It's FrIdAy! Yay! Next week Mom and I are meeting in the cities for a little girl time and we are going to be attending Scapfest at the Mall of America! I am too excited!!! Also, thanks to Grama- we are staying in the lovely Westin Hotel! Should be very nice- Thank you Grama!

Ouch!

Ok Folks- Here is something to look at. Gross. See that big bump on his shoulder? Yeah, that's not supposed to be there. Just to keep you updated, he is going to an appointment in Forks tomorrow morning around 10. Despite the smile, I know he is in a lot of pain and sounds to me like he has a cold or sinus infection too. He did say that he didn't take any pain meds today though, so that either means he is not in a lot of pain or he is selling them to friends. -Ha! Just kidding Grama. He just said he is only going to take them when he needs them. Then after talking about medical bills he decided it would just be cheaper to do it himself and was off to go look up home remedies on the internet. No, he was just going home to rest for awhile. Well, I will post updates on his condition as soon as I find anything out. Hope you feel better soon Paulie!

The Great Outdoors

Here it is! Proof that Justin and I took the camper to the lake for the weekend! It was the annual Kyllo Trucking Camp out. It was soooo windy- I can't believe that people toughed it out in their tents! I told Justin that I like camping, but this is as close to really roughing it as I'd like to get. He agreed too, and decided that Mom was right when she said the mattress needs to be replaced with something more comfortable. Justin had me pull it home, said it would be good practice. That part was easy, but backing it into the driveway- not so easy. But, I did it and we are back home and back to work! Hope all is well in your lives- keep me posted!

For Starters

Here goes- my first blog thing. Harvest has officially started- Justin is taking wheat off the field today! Sounds like they should have waited- as right now Paul (Kyllo that is) is stuck in the field with the combine. This means that Justin is going to be a very muddy person when he gets home tonight. Hmm... what else. Well, it's FRIDAY!!!! Thank Goodness! This weekend I am going to clean out one of the bedrooms and start getting it ready for the little one coming in November. Oh, and for Grandma Nancy's sake- it's gender will remain a mystery- So nobody better slip on here! My weekends aren't quite what they used to be, but I keep just as busy. I'll have to put some pictures on here- things are looking so pretty around home- especially the flowers! The sweet corn is perfect right now and the new potatoes are especially creamy this year- good stuff! Hope everyone is well and enjoying what is left of the summer! Feel free to comment all you want on here too- it will be good to hear from you! Love and miss you all!
